This record group holds materials regarding the academic awards given by the College, the Academic Conference and the Summer Research Program. It includes correspondence, lists of recipients, descriptions of individual awards, programs and posters. The record group is divided into three series: Academic Awards; Academic Conference; and the Summer Research Program. Records are arranged in chronological order.

Scope and Contents This record group contains materials pertaining to the Honorary Degrees awarded by the College. It is arranged into the following three series: Honorary Degree Recipients; Honorary Degree Nominees; and Master Degree Recipients.The first series, Honorary Degree Recipients, contains items pertaining to the individuals who have been awarded Honorary Degrees beginning in 1899. This collection contains correspondence, personal material, citations, awards, other manuscript material, newspaper clippings and obituaries. There are books, magazine articles and booklets about O’Callahan and the manuscript for I Was Chaplain on the Franklin. Memorabilia includes O’Callahan’s Medal of Honor, plaques and material related to the USS O’Callahan.
